Our master die makers are closely integrated with our engineering and production teams to accelerate development of prototype and production tooling. The die makers' proximity also helps speed process troubleshooting.
Baril's Quality Approach
To ensure that every die cutting project is a success, Baril works closely with customers through every step of a program. We maintain material specialists who work with our die cutting and laminating specialists to ensure that a material can withstand the required processing and will perform as needed in its intended end-use application.
We have developed extensive quality processes and systems (Baril is ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2008 certified) that are combined with a culture of painstaking attention to detail to ensure conformance with those processes and protocols.
The Baril team understands that the health and safety of patients, soldiers and others depends on the products and components we manufacture. We approach each and every product with full awareness that the lives of our children, spouse or parent may one day depend on the products we make.

What is Die Cutting?
Die cutting is the process of using a die (typically made of steel) to cut shapes into or from materials. Baril commonly uses die cutting to create components and products from materials such as adhesives (including acrylic, rubber, silicone and synthetic based adhesives), films and plastics, foams, elastomers, medical tape, and other specialty materials. Die cutting can be performed on one or multiple layers of material in a stationary (flat bed or clamshell) or inline (rotary) operation. Die cutting is often performed with lamination to combine and precisely place materials in alignment.
